Started in 1998 by George F. Rick Adam and John Knudsen Jr. in Colorado the Adam Aircraft Industries developed the A500 and A700.
Bankruptcy was announced in February of 2008 and it was the end for Adam Aircraft Industries, due to incapability to pay loans and to raise money to get A700 certification.
